Other good mid-range lodges
If you like this lodge, then La Casa del Suizo or Tapir Lodge might also be of interest. Tapir Lodge offers an excellent access point to the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, home to thousands of species of birds, trees, and myriad other fascinating creatures.
Seeing the Galapagos Islands and/or the Andes are also popular options for travelers who are really dedicated to experiencing all Ecuador has. The Sierra mountains of the Andes are home to the “Avenue of the Volcanoes”, a series of snow-capped volcanoes that tower above the Ecuadorian skyline; if you want to discover true isolation, then a short plane ride to the Galapagos will put you in the middle of a pristine island wilderness with biodiversity unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
